renters insurance

i signed up for renter’s insurance. Ro’s place got burgled a few months back and her laptop was stolen. Giggles’ place just got burgled 2weeks ago.

it’s pretty cheap, ~$20 a month. and i added the extra earthquake insurance.

only thing is, i’m not so sure how it works.

do i need receipts for everything? how do i make a claim?

i probly shoulda figured this all out before i signed up for it. but i’ve been putting it off since, oh… 2005. so at the very least, i HAVE it, although i don’t know how to use it.
